Hey there, lovelies!
If any of you are like me, you're in somewhat of a panic that it's December. It never ceases to amaze me how time slips right by us! And in this case, that amount of time turns out to be 11 weeks....11 weeks since I last wrote to you all!
Here's a recap of what the past few months of my life have entailed:
*Filling out my maternity clothes (the ones that I thought I fit into perfectly the day they arrived on my doorstep).
*Ordering more maternity clothes.
* Using my DIY skills to turn Craigslist crappies into baby beauties...at least that's what I've been telling myself.
*Enjoying every moment that I have to eat for two.
* Learning to let packages just show up on the doorstep instead of telling Bryan that I ordered them in the first place. Can you say hello BabyGap and Etsy?!?
This works like a charm.
*Relearning the definition of uncomfortable and short of breath on a daily basis.
*Becoming a survivor of acid reflux.
*Did I mention frequenting BabyGap??
*Becoming an AUNT!!
So, as I'm sure you all can relate, it's been crazy lately! But I am pleased to report that it's been a lovely crazy. I get to enjoy the sweetest nudges that come from my belly at all times of the day, the giddiness that comes with organizing a closet for a baby girl, and the sweet, much needed helps from that wonderful husband of mine. Speaking of husbands, I have never come across anything that has made me more excited than this to see Bryan add "dad" to his list of titles:
Precious, right?? To say we're ready is an understatement. Six weeks to go! And as I reflect back on the past 33 weeks I realize more and more how important all of the little things are. The little nudges, the volunteered extra bed space, the rounder than round cheeks that consumed the ultrasound screen a few weeks ago....the list could go on and on. So here's my little reminder to you, especially during this busy holiday season.
I can't even begin to imagine how much one little bundle is going to make mine and Bryan's lives so much bigger. But until then, I'm going to relish each moment. And I hope you will, too.
Cheers to cherishing!
xoxo,
Ashtan
PS....here's a picture of those cheeks I was talking about. Don't worry if you have a hard time making out this side face profile, you're not the only one. Here's a little help: The black dot in the middle of white (her forehead) is just a shadow. Her eye is underneath that dot. :)
